Fraxinus pennsylvanica 'Patmore'

Zone:  2
Patmore Ash Height:  45'
  Spread:  35'
Shape:  Symmetrical upright branches, oval head
  Foliage:  Dark green, glossy
  Fall Color:  Yellow
  Fruit:  Seedless
Special Features:  Patmore probably is the best Green Ash cultivar introduced to date.  It has dark green, glossy foliage and a well behaved form, intermediate in shape between Summit and Marshall.  Extremely hardy.

**Fraxinus pennsylvanica is found native in moist bottomlands or along stream banks; however, once established it tolerates high pH, salt, drought, wind, and sterile soils (Michael A. Dirr's book 'Manual of Woody Landscape Plants')With these characteristics and the better branching structure and fall color this makes Patmore Ash a much improved substitute for Oregon Ash.
