Foliage:
New growth brilliant crimson. Leaf texture thinner than Bloodgood
with a translucent effect. Dark red color lasts throughout the
summer.
Fall Color:
Crimson red
Special Features: Very similar to Bloodgood Japanese Maple
in color and form, but in some climates leafs out 2-3 weeks later.
In hotter climates they are finding that Emperor I is holding its summer
color better than Bloodgood with less bronzing off.
